John's Story
In high school a pretty young lady once asked me to study math with her. I was confused since I thought her math grade was as good as mine. I was a little embarrassed too since I had tutored a kid not long before that and that didn't work too well. His grades improved (because his parents threatened to bring me back if they didn't). I turned her down. I eventually came to realize it is not a good idea to turn down pretty young ladies.
I went to college and in the summer of '71 I went on a co-op job with a large chemical company. After being there about a month, I was washing my clothes in a...Expand for more
laundry mat at 1 in the morning when a pretty young lady came in and asked me if she could fold may clothes. I was confused as to why (her girl friend had dared her to). I was a little embarrassed to have someone go through my laundry. I applied what I learned in high school and accepted. She has been doing my laundry ever since.
To make a long story short, I dropped out of college and was marred in '72. I became one of Jehovah's witnesses in '72. We had the first of 5 kids in '74. I retired to the Texas hill country in '06. We married off the last of the kids in '07 and have 4 grand kids.
