John's Story
Life
Life is an incredible opportunity to live. After loosing my Father to cancer last year, I have learned the most important life lesson to date. To stop wasting energy on things I cannot control, learn to really live. To be gratful for what I have, and been given. When my Father died, he left this life with only the love of his family. Truly a blessing to have all 8 kids there the moment of his passing. He left without any clothes, a fancy car, personal belongings, or money. But he left a rich man. For all of you, you will also some day, or may already have, experience this life changing event. Absolutly sobering. I am still adjusting to not having him here physically. I'm no longer interested with acquiring things. But more importantly, experiences. I get to take them with me when I die.
I have a successful career as a Mortgage Banker in Arizona, and work more importantly as a life coach in my spare time...Expand for more
. I have understood that for 43 years, my life has always worked out for what ever lesson I was to learn made apparent at the time.
I have the unique opportunity to work a "working retirement". I spend my summers at the family vacation home in Michigan.
I love to travel as often as I can, because tomorrow waits for no one. "Now" is as good as it gets my friends, tomorrow may never come. So do the things you have been putting off. Vacations, relationships, and the like. How and when will you choose to "live"? Hopefully not when its too late.
My Daughter will be leaving for college to persue a degree. Wow! How time fly's. As my only child from when I was married, she did very well for a child of divorced parents and I am very proud of her. I have not remarried and at this time, am enjoying the life of a single man, by choice.
I hope everyone this summer is in good health and prosperity.
