John's Story
After high school, I attended the University of Alberta in Edmonton from 1963 to 1969. In my second year of medical school, I married the love of my life, Carol, and we'll celebrate 50 wonderful years of marriage together. We graduated as physicians in 1969, interned at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary and I then went to the Vancouver General Hospital doing an Internal Medicine year. , 3 sons and a daughter and 10 grandchildren, all but one of the grandchildren live within 10 km of us. I had been in the GGFG in Ottawa, joined the naval reserve in Vancouver and became the Honorary Colonel of 12 Field Ambulance before shedding my military uniforms in 2007 - 50 years in uniform. A great life but I still remember all my great classmates, teammates and teachers from Rideau.
It is 29 June 2017 and I am ending my subscription to Classmates but have uploaded a number of photos that may interest those who were there in the late 1950's earl 1960's.
