John's Story
I attended Columbia College in Chicago after high school and studied film/video production. In 1997 I moved to Los Angeles, California and after a few years of struggling to break through, I finally made it into the set lighting local union here and it took off from there. I work on feature films, television shows, commercials and music videos primarily. I have also done a reality show along the way. My official occupation is "motion picture studio electrical lighting technician."

tle, however, is husband and father. I have been married to my beautiful wife Melinda for almost nine years, and we have gorgeous twin 7-year old daughters named Jaiden and Chloe. Mindy and I met in Illinois in 1996 and returned home to be married at Hillcrest Baptist Church in 1999, which her grandfather helped to build. The girls just finished 1st grade and are the lights of our lives.
Living in California presents many challenges to a family like ourselves, but the good aspects certainly outweigh the bad.
