John's Story
Life
I have lived and worked in Terrell since high school; married Terri Laroe, had a son (Jared), divorced, married Jody (my soulmate) and picked up 3 step-children, took over Briggs Wrecker Service after working for my parents many years and currently operate it with my wife and step-son Richard; step-daughters Michelle and April are grown and on their own; Jared is a senior at Texas A & M and will graduate in '05 (and will marry his fiance Anna in '06); I have been a volunteer firefighter for 25 years with the TVFD (Capt at this time); my spare time with the fire dept, adrenaline junkie that I am. d often help-the fire dept also (though at this age it's hard to get out of the way and let the young guys get the experience they need-I still want do rather than watch) I regret losing track of people as the years went by; with family, work, and all the usual disasters life throws at us loosing touch of those whose company we enjoyed happens without realizing it-one day you don't know where anybody is anymore and you can't find out unless you run into them somewhere. I've been pretty lucky otherwise-made some mistakes with family, kids, friends, and business, but everything eventually worked out. I've had a pretty good life so far-hope it continues for a while.
