John's Story
Life
I've been married for 28years to Barbara Creamer. We have 4 children. 1 girl and 3 boys. I work for Exxon/Mobil in West Africa(Nigeria). I have been there for six years now. I presently rotate 28 days on and 28 days off. I am a musician in my free time. I play the club scene in and around the Lafayette area, mostly. But sometimes I travel to other cities for gigs. I have a band in Nigeria. I am the only American member. The others are 3 Brits and 2 Nigerians. We play gigs on weekends ...Expand for more
at some of the local clubs and parties in Eket,A.K.,Nigeria. At Christmas time, we played for a crowd of 5,000+ on the beach at Ibeno near the terminal. I contracted malaria twice. The first time was near fatal. I am also a cancer surviver. I contribute this to my strong faith in God and a strong constitution. I refused to stay in bed and was able to return to work 3 months following surgery. I am presently cancer-free. I am hoping that all my classmates are in good health. I miss you guys.
