John's Story

Went to John Marshall for 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. Travelled cross-town from Hillside Home to go to JM instead of Monroe because I liked the teachers and some of the students. Really liked Joyce-Anne Nolan but couldn't hook up because she had a boyfriend and I lived across town. Too bad for...Expand for more
me! Enjoyed track and cross-country. Didn't get my "M" because Coach Louis Spiotti said those who didn't show up for a Saturday track meet we had against Aquinas would not get their letter - I didn't go and there went my letter. Graduated at age 17 and joined the USAF and stayed for 22 years.
