Life I retired from the Navy in November 2005 and am presently living in Edgewood, Maryland. My wife and I celebrated the birth of our son on Christmas Eve! School I went to East Fairmont High School from 1977 to 1981. I was not the most popular student there...pretty much set my own course of action and did what I wanted. I was too wild for elite groups like the National Honor Society, and found some of those groups boring. Yet I proved myself to be at least academically at or above the same level as the "beautiful people" of the day. The one thing I do regret about high school was that I did not go to the prom. I was kind of angry at the other kids for the way they treated me and my then-girlfriend, and I did not feel like going to a place where I did not feel welcome. Then again, I was only 17 and did not know as much as I do now...I should have rented the tux and gone anyway. College Oh, wow...I am amazed I even graduated! I was pretty smart...but like most of us I liked to party and drink, too. A lot of my wild ways caried over on the campus. Then, God began to deal with me...I just wasn't willing to listen at the time, even though I was involved with one of the campus ministries during my junior and senior years.
