John's Story
Life
Wow, so many things have changed in my life and I donÂt look anything like I once did in High School. I've gained more education and traveled around the world many times. I have experienced so much it seems I lived two lives and IÂm still only 33. I now have a wonderful daughter who lives with her mother in Spain. I feel now as if I have 2 homes 1 here in the USA and 1 in Europe. I relish the fact that I have done so much and seen so much, more so then probably anyone from my former high school or Military. Never let anyone or anything keep you down, they donÂt know JACK!
I served in the Military, the Air Force to be exact. My experience there was probably worse than anything I ever had to deal with in my life, and taught me how to fight for my life and career, literally. I can't say I was a model troop but I also can say that the base and command I served under was unjust, corrupt and vindictive. However there were many there that I can easily say earned my respect, under trying times you meet the BEST and WORST people. I'm glad to say I was lucky enough to meet a few people at Griffis that positively changed my life. But truly and I think that almost everyone that serve...Expand for more
d there will agree the best thing to happen to that place was to be shut down.
After I served I worked for a short duration and found a love I could never replace, and still havenÂt. She is gone in my life but hasnÂt been a day I havenÂt thought about her at least once.
I started school and achieved 2 degrees in Computer Science and almost one in Mathematics. Moreover I was given an opportunity to travel again with RJ Reynolds (Winston, Camel etc). I worked for them as a contractor for five years while I was also in school full time. I traveled everywhere in the United States for them for five years and meet many charming people.
For five years while I was in school I traveled the world going to Europe at least 2-3 times a year for one-two months at a time. On one of my latest trips in 2003, after my graduation from Towson University I went to Europe again for the summer and fathered my daughter Tiffany. I now work for a fortune 500 company I do not wish to list in their IT department.
