I moved to southern CA after my Sophmore year at Chantilly High School. Finished up my high school at Westlake High and my father wasn't happy with his new job. We picked up and moved back to NOVA in the Fairfax area near GMU. I applied to go to NVCC and was considered out of state ... so I decided to wait a year. Flew back to CA and worked for a previous employer for a year while my parents established residency. I came back to VA and started going to NVCC and was offered a job at a scuba shop. It was hard to get back in the swing of things at school and I gave up too easily. I ended up managing the scuba shop for 5 years. I flew out to visit some friends in CA and found that I missed the area too much. Came home and gave the owner of the scuba shop a 2 month's notice (was helping to get the store on a computer for point of sale) packed my stuff and moved back to CA on my own. A girl I had met at the scuba shop flew out and visited several times, quit her job and moved out to CA too. Married her several years later and had a son in 1993.
