John's Story

At NE I was Kim Mortemore. I played football 4 yrs. I went to East Tennessee State University from 75-79. A.S./B.S. Criminal Justice/ Law Enforcement. I went to Naval Officer Candidate School 1980 and was commissioned as a Ensign in 1981. I was a Surface Line Officer. I served in the Multinational Peacekeeping force 82/83/84. Granada 83. y class. PPD 86-89. 89 went to FLPD. Mostly Uniformed patrol. 12 yrs SWAT. Currently assigned day shift road patrol beach riding a bicycle. 3yrs, 8 months until I retire as of 071311. Married 22yrs to wife Dale. We travel to Renaissance Festivals and we have many costumes. No kids, lots of cats. Live in Ft Laud. Like my pool. Belong to the Unity Church. I took my birth name back legally in 2006. I am still Kim. Peace Kim
