John's Story
Greetings,
2008 was both wonderful and terrible. On August 6th, we lost our beloved mother Barbara Clerkin to complications following lung cancer surgery. Nothing has ever been harder.
On the wonderful side, she lived to see my career begin to take off. '08 saw me work on Gus Van Sant's MILK, a national commercial for Gatorade and four episodes of shows for television, including two episodes of EXTREME FORENSICS for the ID Channel. Most recently I worked on the Judd Apatow flick FUNNY PEOPLE and am currently working on a pilot for NBC titled TRAUMA. I'll confess I'm holding back a bit as more work will entail travel and I hate to be away from my husband and our two new kittens, Alice and Trixie, for any length of time.

appy with his job at Real Food Co. in San Francisco, and is set to take over as COO of the company next year.
Despite our family's terrible loss, we remain a close knit and loving bunch, and Charles and I are blessed with wonderful friends.
I hope life is treating you well and that if somewhere along the line you let go of your dreams,you pick them back up again and get moving! I'm living proof it's never too late.
