John's Story
Attended U of T
Started teaching before I finished.
Taught ESL in a Quebec High School.
Got laid off due to ESL becoming optional not mandatory.
Worked in Forestry north of Timmins. (Lumberjack)
Worked in Kapuskasing as a logging foreman.
Attempted to return to York University to study Poli Sci in french at Glendon.
Got pneumonia and a busted appendix, ran out of money.
Returned north and worked in the lumber industry as a Forestry Assistant.
Moved to Manitouwadge and worked in Forestry as a Manager of Risk Protection/Fire Marshal for a Pulp and Paper Company. Lived in a house in a remote lumber camp..the company was sold.
1980 returned to London, worked as a firefighter/inspector/arson investigator/training officer/Chief of Training

that houses Solid Gold.
Have 1 son finishing a Phd in Anthro at Mac
Have another son exec position in Toronto
Have a younger son figuring things out working as bi-lingual support person for stranded motorists.
Have a daughter in grade 12, why did no one warn me about having a girl, I love/hate her boys were so much easier.
I have a cabin way north.
I have severe osteoporosis which is no fun.
I have all my teeth. (in a dish, hockey teeth eh?)
I live in London still, but am tempted to sell and move to Mexico with some friends.
I'd like a nice cigar but quit.
I like a nice single malt and a fireplace.
I play keyboards, baritone horns, euphonium, and tuba. My wife plays piano, baritone horns, and flute. (well she was a music major at UWO 5 years she plays anything)
I'm doing a lot of photography, digital now.
I work out almost every day, but RA is eating my joints.
