John D's Story

I think it was 1973 when I had to get out of town and went to San Antonio to become a machinist. Worked for Motorola in Seguin, TX, until 1990, when I got divorced and came up with the bright idea to go to college. Began at SWT in1991 (age 44) and finished in 1996 with a Masters Degree in History. Then to UH for my doctorate, which I finished in 2003 (age 108, the degree really took it o...Expand for more
ut of me). Now I work as an adjunct history professor for various Community Colleges in the Houston area. In my free time I write Historic Texas Western Romantic novels (Vengeance in Old San Antonio, its on Amazon if you are curious, might be characters you recognize in it).
