John's Story
Life
Hi Guys!
I graduated in 1970, and then went on to Montclair State College (now "University") until graduation in 1974 with a B.A. in Industrial Arts.
I married while still a college Junior, and my wife passed away in 1992 after 19 wonderful years of married life.
I was a machinist for 10 years, and a manufacturing engineer for 8 years. Now I work in Upper Montclair as a Program Coordinator (fancy name for admin. asst.).
In 1989 I started doing abortion rescuing for 1 year -- both here in the USA and over in Europe. What an experience!
I have a definite calling to the priesthood, and I hope to enter the seminary one day. I currently own a home (with a mortgage), and they won't take you in the seminary if you are in debt. So, until the home gets sold.....I'll wait. "In His time, huh?"
While at Essex Catholic, my best friends were Nicholas Murphy (Montclair, NJ) and Victor Rolieri (Belleville, I think...Expand for more
). Nick went on to Georgetown University. Victor used to play in our school's marching band. I'd surely like to get in touch with either one of them -- if any of you know of their whereabouts.
In my spare time I love playing music. I play an accoustic/electronic accordion, with a MIDI arranger hooked in to the setup. It sounds like an entire band or orchestra.....really cool!
I still have a hidden love for railroading. I'm a real railfan, although I don't get much opportunity to view trains these days.
My transportation is a 14 yr. old bicycle. I ride to and from work every day by bike.
I work for a wonderful company that does IT training for large corporations. I enjoy working there very much, because their standards are so high -- and they bend over backwards to satisfy the clientele.
Well, that's all for now. I hope to make contact with some of you from the class of '70!
God bless and keep you all!
