John's Story
Married with four children, 3 boys 47, 43, 36 and 1 girl 37 years old. I have 7 grandchildren life has been great. Been married to my wife Peggy for 40years previously had been married for 7 years. I am President of my Union Local 338 for the past 23 years, I also serve as an International Vice President of The United Food and Commercial Workers Union as well as the President of The Long Island Federation of Labor which is the AFL-CIO on Long Island for the past...Expand for more
17 years. II’m honored to serve on a variety of not for profit boards. I worked for Waldbaum supermarkets after graduating From Wantagh for 14 years before working for the Union, I never thought I would have the opportunities in life that I have gotten and am thankful everyday for the chance to help others.
While I am not ready to retire I am looking forward to the next chapter in life hopefully it will be a long one because the first 70 have been pretty good.
