John's Story
Life
My Spouse
I dated her in high school for a short time. We broke up and went our separate ways. I later married someone else, which was the biggest mistake of my life. We divorced after seven hard years. Then in 1987 I came home to visit my family (I was living in Alabama) and my ex-girl friend showed up (from Texas) in my parents driveway and the rest is history.
My Pets
My Bulls-eye Tabby whose name is Tigger, which actually belongs to my daughter, is quite the hunter. He occasionally brings small critters through his cat door. We had a female German Shepard named Gretchen who I believe was the best dog in the world. Sadly she passed away at the age of nine this past Thanksgiving weekend. Update: We recently rescued a puppy from the citrus county animal shelter. He is a shepard/lab mix. So far he is quite the character. He has destroyed practically everything in the back yard.
My Job
Before moving back to Florida in January 1996 I was a Construction Engineer in Nuclear Power Plant construction, which is now a dead industry. I am currently a Production Engineer for Pro-Line Boats which is really an interesting job. I spec in new parts to be used on new boats and resolve problems encountered during new boat construction. I also get to drive boats in photo shoots (look for me behind the helm of a Pro-Line in boating magazines).
