John's Story
Graduated in '72
Went to La. Tech for 2 years then to McNeese
Got married to Wanda Donaldson in 1976 and divorced very shortly thereafter.
Moved to Alexandria in 1977 and went into property management business and met Monica Cardinal (From L.C. LaGrange) when Gary Klumpp drove up one weekend to visit.
Opened Insta-Lube in 1979 while still in property management business all over La.
Married Monica in 1979.
Went to work for La. Savings in 1981.
Moved to Lafayette in 1984 with wife and first 2 kids.
Had 2 more kids in 1985 ...Expand for more
& 88.
La. Savings closed in 1989.
Stayed in Lafayette in RE business.
Had cancer in 1991, now fully recovered.
Went to work as finanacial advisor in 1996.
Monica & I divorced in 1996.
Stayed close to kids. Did several different things.
Married Karen in 2002.
Had Bufford, my first grandson, in Dec. 17, 07.
Moved to L.C. just after Rita in construction business.
Business is very slow. Looking at Options and waiting on GOD to open new door.
No regrets. Still looking forward to what life and GOD has in store.
