John's Story

Hi all...My wife (Terri Goebel) and I have been married 37 years. We were married in 1974 at the Santa Ysabel Mission. I joined the Air Force and was stationed in Anchorage Alaska. I was a medical technician for many years, and served in the Air Force Reserves. Terri & I have 3 children. Our oldest son, Jason, passed away in 1998 and is remembered by many who knew him as a wonderful young man, smart, ambitious, and kind. Our daughter, Melissa was married in 2009 to a wonderful man, Karl Sagermark. They live in Escondido. Melissa is the regional sales and marketing manager for "Hootwinc" Our youngest son, Justin, also lives in Escondido, and is a senior (this...Expand for more
fall) at UCSD. He is studying human biology. Terri and I have a home in Washington State, just above Spokane, in a rural town known as Diamond Lake. Lots of snow, you can cross county ski out our back door! Many deer and lots of fishing and boating. Terri was retired for awhile, but returned to work in California to assist our youngest through college. We travel back and forth between the two states. Terri still has property in Wynola, and our goal is to return to our roots as soon as we can. Blessings to all of our fellow friends and classmates. If you need to get away from the hustle and bustle and want to go skiing or fishing or just R & R give us a call.
