John Fussell:  

Life Upon graduating from Watsonville High in 1967, I enlisted into the navy. I had joined a great group of people all whom were dedicated to making out country a better place to live. After boot camp I was accepted in the aviation maintenance program with further schooling in Memphis, TN. My first duty station was Moffett Field, CA for 1 year where I married and started a family with a daughter and a son whom all followed me all over the US. I had advanced to 2nd class Petty Officer and graduated from Flight Engineer school in Patuxent River, MD. I went on to work and fly on the P-3 Orion Anti-Submarine aircraft in such places as Brunswick Maine for 3 years in which we deployed in exotic places as Iceland, Sicily, Rota Spain and Bermuda. I had other new assignments that took me to other naval bases throughout the United States and all over Europe and Mediterranean.
