John's Story
I spent 14 years in the military between the Marine Corps and Army. I am married and have 3 great kids, two of which graduated from highschool in 2009.
I have a BSBA and work as a marketing manager for the second largest chemical company in the world. Definietly not what I thought I would be doing for a career in high school. Planning to begin graduate school in the summer of 2010.
I am a member of the Massachusetts Free Masons and the American Legion. Yes, I am a republican, something else I did not plan on in school. For those of you who knew me well back in the day it is probably incomprehensible. I am a member of the Marlborough Republican City Committee and a delegate to the State Republican Convention in 2010.
It is stange writing about myself on this post. I enjoy good wines, old movies, fishing, playing beach and indoor volleyball and woking out. My greatest passion next to my family is traveling. I especially love Europe. My profile photo is of my wife and I in Poland May of 2008. My youngest son has special...Expand for more
needs and my wife an I spend much of our time doing advocacy work on his behalf.
I miss the north shore quite a bit and go up a few times a year when I am feeling nostalgic and have the urge for Nick's Roast Beef or a steak bomb from Supersub. My wife and I have seen a few productions at the Music Theater but it is a bit of a haul from where we live and it is easier for us to go to Boston or Providence for the Arts. I brought my kids to Lynch Park and Dane St Beach a few years ago to show them where I grew up.
My oldest son is now in the Army and is completing AIT training as an Army Engineer. He is enrolled a Bridgewater State College where he will Major in Political Science with a concentration in Law.
My daugter did a semester at Mass Bay and decided to take a break from school. She is still trying to figure things out. Sounds like me after highschool. It took me quite a while to find my way as well.
My youngest son is in his first year at Marlborough high and is an honor student. I am proud of them all.
Cheers!
