John's Story
Some of my earliest memories are of growing up in Mountain View and attending Bubb Elementary School, that and Troop 80 Boy Scouts.
After the first week or two of 7th grade at Graham, I moved to San Jose and attended Dartmouth Jr High and Branham High.
I'm really interested in hearing from the Bubb alumni. I tracked down Frank Dowse a couple years ago, and still hear from him every once in a while.
Branham folks; It'd great to hear from you too!
Speaking of Branham: BHS in the late 70s. Wow what a trip. The Branham Carnivals, Dances, (Ivory Tower) School Plays... "Once upon a mattress" Gas rationing, Dittos, 501s... and all that youthful energy. Damn! Oh yea, that completely uncharacteristic move, where I managed to get elected Senior Class President of 1980.
Between (roughly) 1980 and 1990 I was married 8 yrs and divorced. (no kids) Worked in the Moving & Storage industry including owning my own business for a couple years.
During the 90's I suffered a pretty serious ba...Expand for more
ck injury which kept me out of work for about 2 years, but allowed me to attend DeAnza and get an AA. I also attended Computer Training Academy; a vocational school that specialized in (duh) Computers & networking.
Subsequently, I've worked in for a school district as the Network Admin and a dot bomb as Manager of Technical Support, currently I'm Manager of a group that supports and maintains high end Video Conference Rooms.
I still live in the south bay, near Camden & Leigh and work in Mountain View. I'm married and have twin sons who attended Leigh High School. (class of 09)
These days I drive a VW Bus, don't smoke, don't drink, am so tired of most Classic Rock, but am still fond of some of the old new wave stuff...
you can find me on Facebook and if I add you as a "friend" it means either, we actually were friends, (you know who you are) or I have some positive memory of you... either way, feel free to drop me line say "hello".
