John's Story
Hi everyone. Well, what a long, strange trip it's been. After HS I became a carpenter, got married and moved to Auburn, Alabama. Had a son, John in 1983, moved back to Chicago area and divorced in 1985. Had a lot of fun in my single years, met some great people, travelled and met my wife Margot in 1992 while working on renovations at Marshall Fields State Street. Married in 1994, daughter Madeline born in 1997. Bought an old house in downtown Flossmoor in 2005, gutted and restored it, discovered during the process that it has historical significance to the town from the early 20's. on, running commercial projects for Pepper Construction.My wife Margot owns a shop in downtown Homewood, "Harvest Home and Garden", and Madeline is in 6th grade ('08-'09)at Infant Jesus of Prague School. She is quite an athlete, which, if anyone remembers me from school, realizes she must get the ability from her mother, not me! We own a motor home, try to get out several times each year, nothing major, just in the tri-state area to camp and enjoy the outdoors. My son John, moved to Atlanta 2 years ago to start an advertising business, and so far, things are going well for him. Life goes by fast doesn't it?
