I never actually graduated! Went to John Adams then Samo. Did two years at Samo, played Volleyball and Basketball. Had sort of long hair. No girlfriends, a bit shy. After my JR. year I worked all summer in the Marina Del Rey doing maintenance and repairs on boats and was making $7/hr, which was a lot back then! So when the Senior Year came around I just kept working and skipped school. Eventually my parents found out, but they didn't say too much. I lost the job a few months into the school year. I went back to Samo to re-register and the councilor told me it was too late but I had good grades and plenty of credits so she recommended I register at SMCC and take two classes I needed for credit. I did that and then took the GED and had it before the SR ended. So basically I dropped out of Samo and Graduated ahead of my class! Yeah! Did 4 years on and off at SMCC and got an AA in Architecture. Then I applied and went to UCLA and majored in Kinesiology. I got my BS in 1980.
