Well just after getting out of KHS in 86 I landed my first job in the jewelry business. I worked for Holly and Christy Scott's parents who at the time owned a wholesale, manufacturing and importing company dealing primarily in 14 karat gold items. Back in those days we were a major supplier to mostly independant jewelers in Missouri and the surrounding seven states. We produced literally tons of gold chains, bangle bracelets, heavy link bracelets, omega chains and supplied just about everyone in the Midwest with their add-a-bead necklaces. The Scotts sold the company in 1997 and I stayed with the new owners for two years before deciding it was time to move on and try something else. Landed a job with a wedding band manufacturer and spent the next year running around MO and IL working to expand their business. In 2000 I moved out to Las Vegas with a diamond company and covered Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Oregon. Lots and lots of miles on the road that year but what an education on the Wild West! I headed back to St. Louis in 2001 and went to work for Duff Hufford over at Huffords Jewelry in Ladue. Being one of our best customers at Scott Company Duff always offered me an open door policy for a job and I'm eternally grateful for that! I worked the sales floor at Huffords from 2001 until November 2006 with the exception of working for Curt Parker Jewelers for one Christmas. This leads us up to current times.
