I was born in Sweet Home, Oregon in October of 1946.
Enjoyed growing up out in the country. Moved to Oakridge in 1957, Graduating from Oakridge High in 1964. Went into the Navy and spent over a year going to school in Memphis, Tenn. for electronics. Spent two tours overseas. Was honorably discharged in 1967 and returned to Oakridge. Went to work for Pope & Talbot, Inc. and attended LCC for four years learning the electrical trade. Received my Journeyman's ...Expand for more
License in 1975 and worked four more years until I could take my Supervisors Test. Received my Supervisors License in 1979 and continued working for P & T. Went to work for Weyerhaeuser in 1989, then back to P & T Halsey in 1991. Married in 1971; I had two beautiful Daughters; Kelly in 1973 and Brandi in 1976. I had a son in 1975 who died after 23 days from "SIDS". Got divorced in 1998 and lost everything I had spent my life accumulating.
After working for 38 years, the company folded and left me high and dry. I went ahead and retired in 2008.
I now live back in Sweet Home with my former girlfriend Mona, whom I used to date, back when I got out of the Navy in 1967. At that time I played in her Fathers dance band for a couple of years. "Ralph Guy and his Rhythm Kings". She spent 20 years in the Air Force and then got divorced. Luckily we got back together in 2002 and are now busy enjoying our lives. We enjoy camping and traveling. I have 6 Grandchildren: Kelly has a boy and a girl and Brandi has four boys.
The thrill of my life came on June 1, 2010 when I was made an honorary member of the Duck Clan of the Ojibewe Indians back in Warroad, Minnesota. At that time I participated in a "Sweat Lodge" Ceremony and was given the Native American name of "Misko Geesick" which means: Red Sky".
