John's Story
Life
"The Road Less Traveled" comes to mind here.
After High School, I studied up and down CA, including UC, CSU, & a fun class via the Maritime Academy, eventually getting a degree in Biology. Los Angeles has great beaches and food, but the traffic, smog, street crime, & politics are all really bad. So I returned to the Sacramento area! Tehama #3 F&AM, CA! I eventually retired from a local school district, we toured for 2 1/2 years in a 35’ motor home, and initially retired to a beautiful small Texas town.. Deer through the yard, birds & squirrels at the feeders, hawks n owls n buzzards, opossums, and grandkids! La Fayette #34 AF&AM, TX! Go ASTROs! A new grand baby (BOY!) and BOOM! we’re in South Carolina! We have three cute doggies (Lhasa Apso, Terrier, and a Labrador), Remember, Life is a journey, NOT a destination. School
It is a shame so many kids are sucked into the street lifestyle: "I don’t need no education. Everything I need to know, I can learn from the street." No one rises to low expectations. And the "community leaders" who promote hatred, ignorance, & socialism for their personal benefit - they have special consequences waiting for their reward.....
College
Geez, I completed classes forever for ongoing professional stuff. What do they say, something about knowing more and more about less and less...... I hope to never forget that, and to never develop that “I’m better than you” attitude.
Workplace
Yes!!! I work !!! At home!!! The never ending Honey Do list! If you want to chat & catch up on stuff, meet me for a meal sometime and we may share over BBQ brisket or pork, sweet tea, Dr Pepper, or adult beverage.
