John's Story
After high school, I went to college out of state but dropped out after a couple of years and moved back to Grand Rapids, where I played in rock bands and managed a record store (Believe in Music). I dropped back in to college after a few years (Loyola University in Chicago), graduated with a historry degree and went to law school at the University of Wisconsin (go Badgers!). each for 9 years, first as a trial lawyer with the federal government and then in private practice at a couple of law firms. I got married and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where I'm a partner in a law firm. I practice international labor law and split my time between San Francisco, Toronto and Geneva, so can often be found in seat 12C of some random airplane.. I get back to GR once or twice a year - my dad's still there - and enjoy checking out all the new microbreweries.
