John's Story
After high school I went to college for awhile, but it didn't work out at the time. I eventually went back and after 35 years I earned my degree in Criminal Justice. I served several years in the army while stationed in Germany.
Upon return home I was persuaded by my neighbor and another friend to take the civil service test for police officer. I never had any intention to become a cop, but in 1975 I took a position in Morristown as a temporary job and I am still there (intending on retiring at the end ...Expand for more
of the year). Although I never intended to be a cop it has been very good to me, I attained the rank of Captain, but more importantly because of my position, I met my future wife and best friend as she was paying a parking ticket. We have three beautiful children and a beautiful eight-year-old grandson.
Life has been very good to me, I have been blessed with a beautiful family and some beautiful friends. I still see and communicate with George Pizzuta, John and Kathy (Huelbig)Devaney and Annete Caputi.
