John's Story
Hi All,
How do you put thirty long years in this little box ????
Where to start......
In the last thirty years I have lived many places (15 at last count) between California, Arizona, Texas, and briefly in Germany, most of which were before turning 30 !! In my late twenties, after moving around way too much, Prescott, Az. became my new hometown - I was there until 2000, when I moved to Chatsworth, near L.A.
Since leaving Coronado High I have done many different things with wildly varying levels of success. Along with an on and off persuit of my music (having recorded two albums in my early twenties), I have owned a couple of mobile DJ businesses and a very large novelty gift store, driven race cars, been a professional nature photographer, and attempted to make a career in sound fx (still have the studio in my house).
In 2001 I became very ill, and it has taken most of the last several years to really start getting my health back - it is still hit or miss, but getting much better. As things get back on track, I a...Expand for more
m planning to come back to racing, and maybe even sound fx.
Over the last two decades I had made a heartfelt attempt at breaking Elizabeth Taylor's marriage and divorce record, then last year I blew it all by meeting my "soulmate" (that remark would have killed me two years ago - feel free to gag if you wish !!) at the dog park (and NO...... she is A HUMAN, thank you !!!!! ). It has been a revelation !! We married this May, and I couldn't be happier - record be damned !! Wonderful woman, that Yoshiko !! We share a home in Chatsworth with our three dogs and my six year old daughter, Melissa. I also have a nearly 18 year old son that I haven't seen in 17 years - I will be looking him up come September.......
Amazing news !!!!! I found my son's brother (once my stepson) here on Classmates, and have since found my son as well !! I am in touch with both, and it is going great !! Amazing !!
Well, there you have it - you cannot put thirty years into a small box..... they need bigger boxes, definitely......
