John's Story

Well, 20 years later, and what have I done? Here we go... I went to U of Illinois for Electrical Engineering, but dropped out of that program; eventually got my Bacelor's in Leisure Studies (classic underachiever). Worked for 2 years as Athletic Director for a park district, then went back and got my teacher's certificate. I've been teaching math for 11 years, currently at Streamwood HS, only 20 minutes from good old STC. I have my Master's in School Business Management, and I'm currently working on my second Master's in School Administration. Just a late bloomer, I guess. ings never work out. Somehow, seven years of dating wasn't long enough for her to figure out that she was making a mistake. Go figure. We have two beautiful daughters. Sydney was born in 2002. She is a wonderful, sweet, curious little girl, with blonde hair and her mother's blue eyes, and I have loved her from the first moment I saw her. Sarah was born in 2005, and is like her sister, although I fear she may have inherited her father's feisty attitude. She may be the challenge of the pair. We live in Brookfield, only 10 blocks or so from the zoo. Between family, teaching, working on my Master's, and coaching volleyball, I guess I stay pretty busy. I just cannot believe that it's been 20 years. Just crazy.
