John's Story
I recently moved back home. I have been working for American Airlines (Omaha, Tampa, Dallas) since 1986. Before that it was Frontier Airlines (the original one) in Omaha, Des Moines, Kansas City and back to Omaha from 1976 to 1986,when Frontier went out of business. We worked American, so a few of us were asked to come and work for them. I retired in Feb. 2012, moved to be closer to my family here, and am loving it! My folks are here, happy & very healthy...my brothers and their families...Mike & Vicky (Darveaux) 1974...and Pat (1980) & Danette (Dollen). I have 2 awesome nieces and 3 awesome nephews; and 5! awesome Great nieces & nephews. It really hits you that you are getting old when there is a "great" in front o...Expand for more
f uncle!! I have a wonderful little buddy "Clark" a Welsh Corgi, about 9 y/o...(who I rescued from Hurricane Katrina), so he is slowing down like his dad.
I think of getting a part-time job sometimes when I'm bored, but it is just too great to hang out with my dog, read, visit friends who I haven't seen in sometimes since 1996, when I took a job opening with American in Tampa, a really beautiful city (loved the ocean and the beaches and of course the mild winters). I wasn't ever too interested in computers (used them too much at work), but very recently I have been enjoying (wasting time) on it.
I am sure this all sounds VERY boring; that is a really good assesessment....
