John's Story

I attended Washington and Lee High School in 10th grade and Yorktown High School for my junior and senior years. I then attended West Virginia University graduating with a BS degree in computer science. I was then commissioned in the Army and spent the next 20 years as a communications officer, helicopter pilot and air traffic control officer. Lockheed Martin before going back to government service in the Pentagon. Left the Pentagon in 2001 to join the FAA where I worked on developing new air traffic control technologies and operational concepts. I retired from the FAA in October 2015 and moved to an over 55 community called Pelican Preserve in Fort Myers, Florida. I currently enjoy bicycle riding, paddle boarding and scuba diving.

In Orlando this past weekend at a writer's conference for Judy. While she was attending seminars I went and tried out the "iFLY" sky diving simulator. A bit expensive, but a lot of fun!!!

Saw some Florida wildlife on this morning's ride. The bigger gator was over 6 feet.
Had a wonderful day at Barefoot Beach today, then lunch at a restaurant on Fort Myers Beach followed by a round of of putt-putt golf. Hope everyone up north is enjoying their weather. 😂😁
