These days I still spend inordinate amounts of time watching Korean dramas on dramafever com. Thank goodness for the subtitles (even tho they say "bear the grunt" when the characters are saying "bear the brunt" lol ). But i am really only about halfway fluent in Korean. My head is filled with the constant repetition of, "Mahn-guk Hahmnidah, Mah-mah" which is basically someone saying thank you to the king. I keep dreaming that someday, I'll be more fluent in Korean, but that sort of wish might not be so realistic. The best part of speaking Korean is that I get the chance to meet online with many of the worlds most gorgeous women. I am always quite open about how I look and I let them see me on my webcam as well just so they know that I am a very ugly and very old looking specimen of the human race, who just happens to speak their language. What is really nice about Koreans and most other Asians that I meet online, is that their society teaches them a respect for age that just has no comparison in our culture here. As I was growing up we learned the anti Asian racist attitudes of our parents, but in school we were taught that Asians have a respect for age.
