John's Story
My name is John Miller. I have been married to the girl next door, Mary (Torres) Miller, for 43 years this coming October 10th. My wonderful wife and I have three intelligent, sensitive sons who have given us both joy and challenges on this bumpy road of life. Two of our sons live out of state, Massachusetts and Vermont, while the oldest has moved out west to help us with family issues. Mary is the ultimate wife having been the foundation of our family for a number of years while I was in the military and a tremendous partner with whom to both enjoy the world around us and provide comfort and support to this difficult, at times, old man.

After retirement, I worked in and eventually managed a learning center serving military members, became a compliance monitor for a regional employment board in Massachusetts, became a case manager assisting federal employees in re-employment in the face of the closure of Fort Devens, MA., moved back to California and have worked with Sears and currently work as an Operations Supervisor with a Third Party Logisitcs provider in Carson, CA.
I probably bounce around a bit much in jobs, but I kind of get antsy after about 3 years...probably a holdover from my military days wherein positions changed quite regularly providing a nice change of responsibilities and venues. I Have met quite a few of the individuals I attended school with and have much respect for them and their achievements.
