John's Story
Life
Graduated from CHS in 1968
Graduated from Taylor University in 1972 with a B. S. in Biology. Taught at Marion High School in Marion IN, for 20 years. During that time I finished my M. A. and Ed. D. at Ball State University. I am now teaching at Taylor University in Upland IN a Christain liberal arts college of about 2000 students. I am the department chair for the biology department and teach Cell, Plant, and General Biology as well as the science education methods course. My favorite...Expand for more
class is taught in the summer. It is called Natural History of the Rocky Mountains. I spend four weeks camping in the Rocky Mountains with my students. I am currently involved in developing a campus in Cuenca Ecuador for the university. I also am presient elect of the National Association of Biology Teachers.
I am married to Cathy since 1973. We have three children, Mike, Beth, and Dan.
The CHS teacher who influenced me the most was Mr. Petrozelli in science and also a wrestling coach.
