John's Story
I ended up moving from Lake Placid to Melbourne in my freshman year and had so many great memories of my Lake Placid and Melbourne days.
I've been married for 21 years to Trena and we have a daughter, Torie (19) and a son, Jacob (11). We've been living in Ft. Myers for the last eight years, where I've served as C.E.O. of a local community bank. The economy got tough on the banking industry and now I'm working with a Hedge Fund in Ft. Myers as E.V.P. of Capital Acquistion.
I met my wife at the University of Central Florida and she introduced me to Christ and a saving faith in Him. It has been a blessed life in all aspects, even the trials we've faced together as a family. The best part has been the forgiveness for all my mistakes of the past (some of you know what those are) and that is very refreshing.

o play football and baseball; learned how to fish, ski and barefoot. I was introduced to God's love through Mrs. Hathaway. She always told me, "God wants you John". My response was "whatever", but deep inside, I thought that was pretty cool.
I would love to have a lake house someday and I couldn't think of a better place than L.P. to share and create some great memories with my family.
Melbourne was great. Going to the beach just about everyday after school (sometimes during) and eventually, after work too was a great lifestyle. One of my favorite memories was taking my daughter at age 3 to the beach for a sunrise with chocolate milk and donuts. Mom would join us later, well after the sunrise, for a day of surfing.
Melbourne to Lake Placid; back to Melbourne, then to Orlando and then back to Melbourne for awhile; then to Ft. Myers.
