John's Story
Life
As of 6/12/2003-
To bring you up to date on my adult life, I went to Cal-Poly Pomona, Rio Hondo JC and Cal-State Fullerton. I got married at semester break my Senior year at Fullerton, 1969. My wife, Connie (met five years before when she was a Junior at La Serna), and I have been married for 36 years and didn'Ât have children until our one and only boy(Grant) was born in 1985. He went to Tustin High School and was in the band and drama for four years (his sophomore year he attended 8 periods to accomplish this) and now doesn'Ât know what he wants to doÂ

grades were not a problem, just confusion. Been there...done that!
We have a house rabbit, instead of cats, which works out better with our four birds (one Blue-fronted Amazon and three Goffin's Cockatoos). It can get noisy around here!
During college I got into the Naval Reserves and then their Reserve Officer Candidate program. I attended Naval OCS during the summers of my sophomore and junior years. When I graduated from Fullerton in 1969, I was co...Expand for more
mmissioned at my Reserve Center at Los Alamitos Naval Air Station. I was on active duty for three years as Electronics Material Officer and then CIC Officer aboard the USS Paul Revere (LPA-248), a troop transport that was converted to be an interim flagship for COMPHIBFORCE 7TH FLEET (Admiral Rubal)...an office and a taxi for him in southeast Asia. We went to Singapore (dipping down to cross the equator, converting all of the pollywogs on board into Âshellbacks after an interesting, but not too terrifying, initiation ceremony), we steamed up river to Bangkok, spent some time in the Phillipines, Okinawa and Japan. After the Navy, I got into manufacturing. I spent 13 years with two divisions of Baxter Healthcare (Edwards Laboratories and Bentley Laboratories) and now work as Materials Manager for IMPCO Technologies, Inc. a company that manufactures and distributes products and systems world-wide for the alternative gaseous fuels market.
We lived in our first house in Irvine for seven years and have lived in our second house in Tustin for twenty-seven years.
That is it in a nutshell!
