John's Story

Life After working at Steve's Pizza, bouncing in bars, and driving semi for a few years, I finally went to college and unlike high school, I actually got good grades! I've been in law enforcement since 1991(don't look so shocked) and I've been a police officer in Austin since 1994. I made Sergeant in 1999 and Lieutenant in 2000. I worked nights, then afternoons and in May of 2007 I went to days. I married a Lake City girl, Dawn ...Expand for more
Siewert, in 1990 and we have four kids, three boys and a girl. We live on a farm where we raise all natural hogs (no antibiotics or other drugs). We are farrow to finish (birth to market) and in 2004 we won an award for having the best meat quality in the country among nearly 500 Niman Ranch farmers! I serve on my township board and the Mower County Fair board as well as two local and regional police association boards. I stay busy!
