John's Story
I live in Fort Collins CO and I have worked for HP since 1985. My present position at HP is in a software organization. I married for the first time in 1997. My wife Nancy also works for HP, but from our home-office.
We live ~20 min from work on a 2 acre property in the "country" outside of our town (no horses yet!). We usually visit Pgh once a year during one of the holidays.
Some of my hobbies include restoring classic vehicles. We have a 1967 and 1968 Mustang that are restored but not "show quality", and a 1947 Chevy pickup that has not been restored yet, but in great shape (and drivable). We have TONS of Lego¿s, Duplo's, K¿nex, and Magnetics to for all of us to play/ build with together. Now that the boys are older, the taxi-service to baseball, soccer, and gymnastics has started.
Our little princess has already started dance class and had her first performance at our local performance hall. Mommy has lots of pretty dresses for her that the day-care folks often comment on. Along with the good, she does have a stubborn side, but all-in-all, less work/difficulty than her brothers.
We presently have a new "used" 8yr old golden retriever named Jack to replace the previous dog that had moved on to a better "after-life".
As we all progress through our middle-ages, I've fallen victim to the standard aging pitfalls: needing reading glasses to read the newspaper, several extra pounds, and the increasing collection of aches and pains.
The photo of me and the family is from my work's summer picnic last year. It was a bit warm so everyone is a little sweltered, but it was a great picture of us all.
