John O'Hara:  

Life I left Parkdale and went to University in Guelph and then Toronto Teachers College. I worked in the University of Guelph as a librarian and became a staff member of the Project 69 hostel for young people in Toronto. My first teaching job was at Warrendale Treatment Centre for two years followed by two years at the then Thistletown Regional Centre and then a couple of years in special ed with the Etobicoke Board at Humbergrove Secondary School. I moved to Bristol, England in 1976 and spent 5 years as the Director of a Richmond Fellowship therapeutic community for disturbed adolescents, followed by 3 years as a Principal Lecturer at South Bristol College in Community care. I then spent 5 years as Director of the Avon Training Agency the largest retraining programme in the UK for long term unemployed adults,followed by 4 years as a British government Consultant on adult training.I then spent 5 years creating and managing the UK's first electronic community ...Expand for more
