As a playwright, John is strictly a story teller when it comes to writing (especially for the theatre). His love of the theatre and the written word originates from his family, who were, one and all, voracious readers. Writing for the theatre and the written word, in all its power and majesty is a significant part of his interior life. Most of his plays are free verse, contemporary, and first person. Playwriting stems from the love of the written word, and from the love of the voice of actors and understanding the heart of his audience. All plays are meant to be read, and to be read aloud. John Pallotta is the author of 17 plays. Some of his work includes Vegas, his first play, was presented at the Lambs Theatre and read at Steppenwolf in Chicago an...Expand for more
