John's Story
Life
After high school I attended ASU in Jonesboro and received a degree in Medical Technology. I married a girl (Vickie) from Mtn. Home AR. and lived in Arkansas for a few years. We decided it was time for a change and I took a job in Juneau Alaska. We told our families it was for a year. Well it's been sixteen years now and we don't plan to leave any time soon. We spend alot of time on our boat or at our cabin, fishing, whalewatching and relaxing. The winters here are not as bad as one might think. t least once a year. We also get back to PB at least once a year. Vickie and I recently purchased an apartment building and are enjoying the good and bad of being landlords.
Bill Bloodworth and I have remained great friends through all these years. Bill comes up every year to fish the Golden North Salmon Derby. We have placed many fish in the top 100 and actually won it in 2003. He and I play a lot of poker on line against each other to stay in touch throughout the year. I can usually take him, LOL.
