US Navy(5/48,5/53)Hon. Disc.MM1/c. Married(3/50),Evansville Ind. Settled in Virginia
(1951) Started work in Naval Shyd.(7/53)as apprentice in Electronics.Retired(6/85)with total 37 yrs Govt.Service.Reason for retirement,Wife had M.S. and I became her caregiver. Our 2 sons are married & we have 2 grandchildren.
Traveled worldwide working for govt.Became a Korean Vet.while serving in USS Leyte(CV-32).Celb.53rd wedding annv,before wife passed on (11/03)
Been Retired now...Expand for more
for 30 yrs.and have enjoyed most of them. I'm still active and attend a coffee break every Wed.to keep in touch with friends.To pass the time I have a few hobbies such as flying model airplanes and am a member of a gun club.Don't go hunting but target shooting is fun.I'm still able to drive but hate to grocery shop.
My grandchildren have both obtained college degrees. One is now a Prof. teaching at Chowan College in N.C.and the other is employeed as a Mechanical Engineer.
