John's Story

Life Hey guys. I am coaching and teaching junior high kids at a middle school named Bedford Junior High in HEB ISD ,Texas. I love coaching. It's amazing how many things I do because of what happened to me with my coaches back in school. Like the time that a coach wanted to put a good friend of mine in the game with only 3 seconds left and he refused. Why would a coach put a kid in that position. Another coach wanted us to go out a run sprints during half time because he didn't think we were playing hard . So many great friends from all those years in Pasadena. It is funny how certain memories just stick in your brain. I still have trouble over missing a pass that hit me in the helmet my sophomore year. I can still see Steve Kennedy running the bootleg for a touchdown and the guy that was blocking me fell on my big feet, (Pam Ost...Expand for more
rander always made fun of how big my feet were) and seeing the disappointment on Coach Taylors face. I sure wish I could go back and fix that one. Alot of our best friends ended up going to Pasadena high when they changed the boundaries. I remember the Rayburn coaches had us assigned to put the hurt on them when we opened the game. I have been married for 26 years and have two boys one of which passed away in June of 08 from a rare blood disorder. The other graduated from University of Texas and is working as a personal trainer at a country club on Lake Austin. I live to fish and spend alot of time working with kids in church and at school. If you don't think I would like to hear from you , you are wrong. Have a great day. Special thanks to Angela for making my senior year such a great experience filled with such great memories.

Just in case you wanted to know what a 65.00 breakfast looks like. I think it was the rose. The guy at the desk did not appreciate me asking if they had any vending machines🤓
This seems like a good spot to watch the game.
Night fishing on Lake Fork is great this time of year.
Donald Mudd wanted me to pass along Merry Christmas wishes to all my Rayburn, Pasadena friends.
