John's Story
Well I went from the very lowest possible place, prison, to the highest, the pulpit. For the past 17 years I have been a church pastor and hospice chaplain having served churches in Alabama and Georgia. I am married, have been for 20 years. We have a wonderful son age 14. He is a trumpet player and soccer player for Tallassee High School. My wife Donna is the local newspaper managing editor and I pastor a local church. We built a new cedar cabin home 2 years ago. ople, so I need a place to recharge. God has been good. There are a couple of poeple from my past I would like to see some time. I get home to Oxford from time to time to see my parents and siblings. My brother Gary is the Oxford Fire Chief now. Richard is now Dr. Richard Sparks, an engineer. Scott is with Home Land Security. My sister Faye is assistant County Manager for Calhoun County. Mom and Dad live at the home place in Bynum and are getting older and in poor health. Wish I could see Van Scott Henderson from Wellborn and AH from Oxford. She knows who she is.
