John's Story
Thought it about time to leave a short note about where and what I have been doing.
As many of you may know I worked in La Grande over 20 years for Union Pacific marrying Margaret having two daughters, both married and I now have 4 grandchildren (2 and 2) before going to work for Amtrak and moving to Palmdale CA where I am still today. After retiring from Amtrak I worked for a couple of years for Connex a commuter railroad in Los Angeles and then retired again. However, I guess I did not learn my les...Expand for more
son as I was doing a little consulting work and ended up working 7 months for the start up of Sprinter a light rail in Escondido CA then went to Austin TX a little more than a year ago working on another light rail commuter start up. Maybe later this year I may try and retire again. We'll see.
Well I think I am almost done (again) with work and will start my retirement now that Margaret is retired. I will be at the reunion the end of jully 2010 hope to see a lot of people that I have not seen in years.
