John's Story
Moved to GC from Ill and meet a lot of good friends. Played basketball and baseball (catcher). Went to Olivet college for 2 years then enlisted in the Air Force with John Czyzewski. Was sent to England for 3 years and then extended for six months. Returned to Michigan at Marquette for 9 months. Worked in a golfball factory in GC for one year then returned to Olivet for 3 years. Graduated with a teaching degree and was hired by Davison School District. Taught 5 & 6th grade for 31 year...Expand for more
s. Had two by-passed one in 1992 & one in 2001. Then retired. Married my wife in 1969 another student from Olivet. Recieved a Masters Degree in Ed Leadership from Eastern Mich plus another 30 hours. We have 3 children and they are all married and live within 9 miles from us. We also have nine grandchildren the oldest 14 and the youngest 1. I ended up getting a family tree tattooed on back with everbodies name in my immediate family. I have 4 more to do after the latest is born.
