John's Story

- Lived in Longview, Washington Fromm 1948-1959. Attended Kessler Elementary School in Longview from 1953-1959. - Attended Lower Columbia College for two years from 1965-1967. - Joined the Army in 1967 and spent 1968 in Vietnam and then stationed at Ft Deven Mass. - Married my wife Donna in 1969 and still married. Have a son Lawrence who lives in Austin, Tx - Donna (Rev) is an Associate Pastor at Alamo Heights Methodist Church in San Antonio - I graduated from Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, Texas with a BS in Social Rehabilitation and Social Services (1972) and with a Masters degree in Education, Vocational Education (1978) - ...Expand for more
Worked for the Texas Employment Commission and retired in 1998 as an Area Manager. Also worked for 12 years after retiring at the University of Texas Health Science Center as the Senior Financial Aid Counselor for the Medical School. - Served on the Judson ISD School Board for 10 years (elected), four years as board president. No more politics! - Retired again in March, 2010. - Spend time reading, have several antique cars, collect old cameras (Argus mostly), Some volunteering. - Retirement is nice, but busy. - All my brothers are still in the Seattle area, with one in Spokane. Both parents passed away so home in North Bend was sold.

This was on the back of my Discover Card bill. Always been a pet peeve when I call customer service and get someone from another country. One off the many reasons I dumped AT&T.
My Miata feels a little intimidated. On the freeway I can count the lug nuts on trucks. With the size of this  car with the top down freeways are a little scary. But they are fun to drive.

Spending day with our grandson. Wouldn’t trade it for anything.
