John's Story
I graduated from Rose-Hulman Institue of Technology as an Electrical Engineer and Computer Scientist. Five years later I was an engineering manager at RCA which later became Thomson. I managed the group that designed and wrote the software that contol the TV and remote controls. One of my patents is to automatically bring up closed captioning when the audio is muted (for when you answer the phone).
I've played a lot of volleyball all over Iowa and Indianapolis area over the years. More recently I have been calling for C...Expand for more
ontra Dances. Again I called at the State Fair.
2008 has been the medical year for me. I've lost 80 lbs since Thanskgiving and am down to the weight I graduated from college. I broke bones for the first time in my life (5 broken ribs as the result of my first serious car accident - a 16 year old ran a red light and t-boned me - I ended up having abnominal surgery and spending most of March in the hospital). A result of the accident's CAT scan, found some nodules on my thyroid and I just had my thyroid removed in August.
